it was Saucy’s birthdayday yesterday and I’m late as usual xD I just wanted to do a little recolor in celebration of that and also her amazing story! She’s got me so hooked it was only fair to make a jungle-y recolor for her babe Alejandro! If you’re not following her or haven’t read her story~ go do so immediately!

i go through periods where all i wanna do is decorate apartments, and i think this is one of those times! i built this boy in pretty much one sitting and i’m pretty proud of how it turned out! it’s located at 17 culpepper in the spice district, and i imagine a eccentric artist-bookworm-musician-writer hybrid sim spends most of their time here. some more quick deets:

This is a recolor of an awesome mesh edit by HSL of the dress that came with the free Holiday Stuff pack. (her V2 Maid Uniform)
I’ve always loved pioneer themed towns ever since my sister and I created one in The Sims 2. Since then, I’ve wanted to make another one with the same idea in The Sims 4, but I quickly realized the total lack of Plain-Jane, casual clothing for normal, everyday Sims.
The lovely @historicalsimslife was nice enough to allow me to include the mesh. It’s very simple and comes in 29 swatches all mix-n-match.
Well, after a lot of hair pulling and other nonsense, I finally think I’ve figured out a way to my crib recolors to work. Big giant shoutout to @teanmoon, the whole plumbob tea parlor discord in general and @whiteswansimming for helping me figure out what to do.
~ IMPORTANT~ THIS IS AN OVERRIDE OF THE BG CRIBS, WHICH MEANS YOU CAN HAVE NO OTHER CRIB OVERRIDES IN YOUR MODS FOLDER IN ORDER FOR THIS TO WORK!
~ 20 swatches (I tried to do 10 “girl” patterns and 10 “boy” patterns but honestly most of them are pretty gender neutral and could be used for either)
~ bgc *IMPORTANT* they will require the “baby without crib mod” that I will link below. If you do not download this mod, there is a known bug that will cause your baby and the crib to disappear! If this happens to you, I suggest reloading the family and the baby and crib should reappear. You’ve been warned! As far as I am aware, this is the ONLY way to use any other type of crib or recolor of the bg crib in game!
